Advisory business Rumbo Limited launches

Today sees the launch of Rumbo Limited, an advisory business aiming to use contract and relationship management skills to support organisations looking to buy outsourcing services or IT.

Rumbo's key aims are to:

  • help businesses structure their deals better from the outset
  • help those deals succeed in the long term, particularly after signature
  • provide significant value for money

The offering extends to consulting on sourcing models and the market place, as well as detailed advice on the contracts and schedules used in these types of deal.

Rumbo is unusual - it is not a solicitors' practice.  It also adopts a fluid staffing model, using associates and minimal built in overhead.  The structure has been chosen by director Rex Parry to give clients what he believes they want:

  • quality advice
  • advice at the point it has maximum value
  • an extremely commercial approach - opinions and alternatives will be offered
  • commitment to long term success, through active involvement after a contract has been signed
  • an advisor structured to minimise its cost base, while preserving risk transfer from the client to Rumbo (Rumbo carries professional indemnity insurance)
  • A willingness to work on fixed fees and to attach a percentage of charges to long term satisfaction with the advice given.
