Costa Rica hosts Bridgestone's financial shared services centre

Tyre and rubber manufacturer Bridgestone de Costa Rica has opened its financial shared services centre for Latin America in Costa Rica, part of the Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO).

Reported in Inside Costa Rica, the shared services centre aims to optimise the company's investment in SAP and other technologies, standardise processes and create an organisational structure focused on efficiency.

Bridgestone said that it selected Costa Rica because of the government support it has received, the highly trained and motivated human resource, and the strategic advantages from investing in the country.

"This structure will improve financial services for business units throughout Latin America", said Humberto Gomez, President of BATO". This centre of excellence will help the company grow and strengthen our talented team of collaborators so that can provide a world class service to our business in the present and the future."
